My first concert was a Slipknot show in Kansas. That was amazing. The band was an hour late so girls in the audience randomly got on stage and started flashing. As a 13 year-old living in Wichita, I could have not possibly have felt more badass at that moment.

Toktok vs. Soffy O started my love of electro-music, and I’ve always had a soft spot for the cheesy disco-house like Phats & Small’s “Turn Around.

I heard “Turn Around” for the first time while vacationing in Zandvoort. That was an important vacation, because while in Zandvoort I was also exposed to ATB (Don’t Stop and 9pm/Till I come) and ATB quickly became my favorite DJ. Probably because a huge crush on him.

Dreamy.

Mia was the biggest surprise on the list. The band started out as a semi-underground Electro-Punk group and then became wildly successful when they shifted to a cleaner image and a more mainstream sound:

Actually, that video is a remix. The single “Uhlala” (video here) is a perfect example of how much they’ve cleaned up.

Videos for the rest of the 25 after the jump!
