I’ve spent the past few days buried in Ableton tutorials. My summer project1 is learning how to produce music and DJing. I have several friends who are talented singers and rappers, and I decided to produce their first singles.
It’s just a matter of learning how.
Law school as definitely influenced how I approached learning Ableton. I spent the morning going through tedious tutorials, took notes, repeated lessons…
In the past I just launched into a program and fooled around with it until I got it. That was always fun, but inefficient.
I’m not sure how long it will take to learn Ableton, but I’m making progress… I think. The next step is figuring out what type of hardware to get for DJing. The APC40 is on the list, but what else? Suggestions?
