OSAG: Low Happening

In mid October I was over 200 pounds again so I recommitted myself to Jillian Michael’s “Master your Metabolism” regime.

…and then a week passed.

I eventually chased down the wagon, climbed back on, and recorded my weight every morning on this here dry erase chart:

Now I’m adding workouts to the mix. I’m sore and cranky, but I’m telling myself this is healthy.

Jackie Warner would approve of my grocery list, but the source of my lady lumps isn’t my fridge, but rather my nasty drive-thru habit. I’m the mayor of too many McDonald’s on foursquare, and I’m not even that religious about checking in.

I have resolved to end my drive-thru relationship many times, and yet I’m still on the junk food like Ke$ha at an autotune party. Terrible. It ends today! This is resolve damn it! No more junk until…Halloween?

Forest trails in the city

I skated around a lakes Cedar, Harriet, and Calhoun after class today. It was my first time around Cedar lake, which is north west of the other lakes.

Cedar lake is only partially surrounded by bike trails, and I found myself in a large park which made me feel like I was in the middle of a forest, despite being only a mile or two away from downtown:

There is also a portion of the trail along an old railroad right-of-way which has view of the city:

After my faux-forest-adventure, I returned to my apartment and ran into the cleaning ladies for the building who were, well, pissed off. Their note explains why:
