Summer got off to a sort of rough start,

…marked by moving into Eaton in the middle of the night, getting hit by sprinklers that water more pavement than grass – even when it’s raining – spending forever getting my room in sorts, designing for the yearbook, desk shifts, mail, mail, mail, and forwarding mail.

- The art 101 class from hell, which is three hours a day, five days a week.
- Exploring abandoned buildings and terror in the Everglades with Ivan,
- Midnight pranks and climbing with JHR,
- Sunny Isles Beach listening to insane/bloody Columbian histories, & etc.
- A lot of & etc.

Too much etc.

  1. I had my room barged into at 9AM telling me I had to leave in an hour for conference housing. Thankfully, I had my stuff already packed and in a few carts I got from the parking lot, so it was just a matter of pushing over 2 carts and loading my car.
    >sigh< At least you were there, working the front desk. I think...

  2. I’m assuming you found me in abandoned places. . .? I don’t really add people that I don’t know in real life or haven’t known on the internet for awhile.

I’ve been to that place in the Everglades. I wouldn’t go in it though, it’s too creepy. It’s actually an abandoned nike missile base.

I haven’t been to that many abandoned places but my favorite is definitley an abandoned marine stadium. It’s on the rickenbacker causeway by a restuarant called The Rusty Pelican. These are picturss I took the first time I was there. http://community.livejournal.com/abandonedplaces/564919.html#cutid1 These are from the second time, the lighting was better. http://community.livejournal.com/abandonedplaces/578095.html
