The Problem with Gertrude Pt. II

I came home from work, Gertrude was out of the kennel, and the floor was covered in blood.

Another trip to the vet, $230, a hospital stay, and a dozen tests later, the doctor tells me that stress induced a bacteria imbalance which causes the rottweiler to pee blood. Charming.

The only thing that’s keeping me from killing both of the dogs is the cuteness:
bullmastiff and rottweiler
bullmastiff and rottweiler

  1. Gertrude! :( However, maybe you can tell her that trying to break out of the kennel can be a cause of stress. Maybe if you just explain it to her… yeah, who am I kidding?

    Hope she gets well soon!

      • I don’t think she would get along very well with our cat… someone would end up eaten, and I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be Gertrude. Besides, she loves you and Harley! I won’t get in the middle of that! :)

Seriously, though– what do dogs have to stress out about? They’re not the ones in law school.

          • True. Kind of like how the cat gets really upset when we won’t let him eat packing tape. Oh, if only not being allowed to eat packing tape/highlighters/phones was the biggest stress-inducing thing in my life…
