Oh my god..I totally have a rolling book bag… Hey I got it because I just cant imagine wearing a backpack with freaking heels on… Plus I got a bad back from undergrad…and I commute 2 hours to school..so many reasons for such a small fashion faux pas…so PAHLEESE say I get a pass…

Am I completely horrible person if I say that flip-flops at orientation are in fact acceptable? It’s grad school, not a job interview. Wear those bitches as long as you can get away with it. And actually, I have worn flip-flops to my law job, albeit it was because I was totally disorganized and didn’t realize I had them on until I got out of the elevator, but still.

I’ve given up on the library as a quiet study place (except for the 4th floor computer lab)… I much prefer a cafe because it’s easier to tune out a hum of talking, rather than a psst psst library whisper.

Although, the Walter library on the East Bank is usually dead-silent!

Yes, I am petty. I will judge you if you wear flip-flops in the library. Not because of the look, but because I can’t stand the constant noise. I am a freak, needing almost monastic silence to study. Then I hear it, whack, whack, whack, of some jackass in flip-flops. So you will see the evil stare.

Of course I also want to mutilate every person that thinks they can quietly answer cell phones in the library, talk with their friends, or shuffle to and fro not picking up their feet. What can I say…I am sure that I have habits that annoy. At least I must have since I got evil stares from the woman behind my carrel all second year.

As for the rolly backpack, I swear if you get one and I trip over the damn thing because you are unable to maneuver it appropriately, I will yell, a lot, with a lot of expletives.

And read this blog. For entertainment and advice it is invaluable. Though you couldn’t get me in a dress for orientation or any other time of law school to save my life
